Possess The Mindset For Success

Have you ever felt frustrated with feeling that you are lacking something which is why you have been unsuccessful? Are you feeling as if your mindset has a lot to do with why your level of success is in the dumps? Have you felt overwhelmed by your thinking and that if you got that under control you just might be able to obtain success in your life? Do you lack the tools and incentive to bring yourself into right thinking to possess the mindset for success? Well, do not fear developing the mindset for success is something that many suffer from and do not have. I have seen a lot of individuals struggle in developing it. Today, I want to share with you some easy and implementable ways of developing a successful mindset from the where you currently are. I want to help you obtain those goals that you have set, maybe set new and higher ones, but we are going to do that right from the starting line of NOW.

Success Mindset Quotes
Here are some incredible quotes that I carry with me and are stuck with me and I believe they will be instrumental for you as well.
"Whatever a man thinks in his heart, so is he" Proverbs 23:7
"Happiness has to do with your mindset, not with outside circumstance." - Steve Maraboli
"Quitting is never an option on the road to success. Find the way forward. If you have a positive mindset and are willing to persevere, there is little that is beyond your reach. The attitude of being ready to work even in the face of challenges and despite odds is what will make all the difference in your life." - Roopleen
"Until you're ready to look foolish, you'll never have the possibility of being great." - Cher
"The only limits are, as always, those of vision." - James Broughton
"The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them... into the impossible." - Arthur C. Clarke
Developing a Successful Mindset - The Two Keys
Over the years mentoring, coaching and listening to individuals I have found some commonalities that do not change. These commonalities in the way in which one thinks is what seems to open the doors to success every single time. The interesting thing about these methods of thinking is that I have found if violated in any way one will not experience success.

1. EXPECTATIONS. A person can have all the talent in the world, be well educated, be extremely articulate and know a lot of people, but one thing that a person with all that going for themselves cannot create if their level of expectation is off is success. What I mean by that is if a person expects to fail he will. Author and Speaker Denis Whately said "Our limitations and success will be based, most often, on your own expectations for ourselves. What the mind dwells upon, the body acts upon."

If you think you are a failure you are. If you think you are a success you are. It is very difficult in the midst of obstacles or what appears to be failure to maintain the thought that you will succeed. But not only should you watch your expectations you must if you are ever going to achieve success. The bible tells me that we will experience obstacles, defeat but we will be delivered from all of them. The only way that will happen is for us to believe that and that is developed from how we think about our situations.

It is and never will be a good idea to expect failure. I do not want to think bad things to happen especially when they do not need help manifesting anyway. So, I have decided to spend my time thinking on a great outcome for me. I have failed over and over again, but because I have failed once, twice, twenty times I am not going to base future outcomes on past experiences because the variables are always different. One thing I have learned in my 50 years here on earth is that if I look for bad stuff I will find it. But the same goes for the opposite, if I look for good I will find that too.

Look at successful people what do they have in common. They have this "I WILL NOT BE DENIED" attitude. Successful people make up in their minds (what they think) that they will succeed no matter what. They will EXPECT to succeed and nothing else is acceptable. They believe that they are the Captains of their fate. They can and will make their way prosperous. It is amazing when you EXPECT success how resources become available, opportunities are plentiful, ideas are flowing, help will come from all sorts of places. But all of this happens when you are focused when you have the right mindset. Expect failure, failure will show up. Expect success, success will show up. So INSPECT what you EXPECT, often and always.
2. FOCUS. It is vitally important for you to focus on where you are going and not where you are. The difference between your expectation and your focus is one deals with circumstances vs. past experiences. I know you have heard and seen people come from the roughest situations and they were able to create success beyond the norm. This is because those individuals did not focus their time and attention on frivolous stuff like the past. They understood that the past is gone and they cannot do anything to change it. They understood that what they can change is right here and now. Therefore, they never focused on lack of money, non-supportive family, no warm market, no leads. They focused on where am I going and how am I going to get there.
I do not know if you are saying "easy for them" or "easy for you to say", but I have lost homes, cars, everyone from my group, etc. Trust me it has not been easy for me at all. In fact, I still deal with obstacles but it is the way that I view them that is different. Here is my advice if you are going through a tough time, go through it with dignity, honor, and strength. Tear down those walls and let that obstacle and situation know that you have arrived and that they are no match for you. This is the stuff that creates a great story for you to tell and let someone else know that if you made it so can they. Keep on going, hold your head up and burst through your circumstances.
YOUR Mindset for Success?

I pray that this helped you today. As long as you are living on this side of the earth and are breathing it is still
your time to succeed. We are waiting for you to succeed because someone else needs you to. Embrace your gifts and talents and show them off through setting and accomplishing all of your goals. If you really believe in the two points that I spoke about today pass on the information. Share with someone else because we are all blessed to be a blessing to someone else. Thank you for listening and you can and will have Purpose Directed Success today!
Did This Help You? Did it add value to what you are doing? I am glad. I want to bring you value that can get your motivated and inspired to do something daily toward obtaining your goals.

The Choices You Make Will Help You Control Your Life

Life will control you if you let it. You cannot let this happen if you want to shape life to your liking. You need to control life and dictate the terms on which you are prepared to live. It's a bit like having a staring contest with life and the first to blink is the loser. It's not quite that dramatic for most of us, but for some it is. You will do this best by using power of mind strategies to keep you strong in your resolve.

Do Not Be A Victim
Do not let life push you around by allowing yourself to be its victim. If you are to dictate terms, you are not the victim. If you are to live life on your terms, you cannot let circumstances or other people decide outcomes. You are in charge. You are responsible for your actions and their outcomes. Once you understand and accept this, it becomes easier to control life.

You hear people say things like, "This always happens to me" or "Just my luck", when something bad happens to them. This is the attitude of the victim or the loser. It has no place in your life if you are going to run life the way you want it. Focusing on negativity and expecting bad outcomes will be self-fulfilling - the Law of Attraction.

If the same bad thing keeps happening to people it is because they have not taken control of that situation and changed it. If they cannot change it then they have to come to grips with it and change their attitude and the way they handle it. The other alternative is to allow this bad thing to keep happening and to be the victim again.

Control Your Attitude
You will not be able to control everything that happens and everything other people do, but you can control the way you react. It's not about what happened to you or what others did to you, it is about your attitude. You have to develop a frame of mind that will not accept excuses for failure based on what someone else did or neglected to do. This means you are letting others run your life.

You will be able to influence how people react to you by controlling how you act towards them. If someone acts negatively towards you, you can change their attitude by trying to understand why they reacted the way they did. If they were reacting to what you said or did, and you did not want that reaction, then you can change your attitude to get the reaction you do want.

If you want them to work with you or to like you, you have to treat them with respect and courtesy. Your attitude and demeanor has to say to them that you are willing to listen to them, to consider what they have to say and to be helpful towards them. They will respond in a positive way.

Does taking control of life mean nothing bad will happen - there will be no failures, no disappointments? No, it means taking control of the way you think. It means using power of mind to control your attitude so you will learn from failures and mistakes. You will get past the disappointments and keep your mind positive and upbeat. You will focus on your ultimate goals until you achieve them.
You will find power of mind ideas to help you control attitude and control life

Warding Off Negative Influences - How To Keep Your Aura Strong

Every person has a unique aura that reflects their current condition. People who are sick or emotionally upset have weak shadowy auras, while healthy happy people have auras that are strong bright auras. A strong healthy aura is essential in blocking negative influences from draining energy and vitality from us.
There is no scientific definition for an aura. Many scientists are certain they do not exist. Others, while they are open-minded, can not describe auras in scientific terms. Some people present photographs as evidence of auras, but many skeptic declare them to be fakes. However, people with psychic abilities can see and read auras. It is possible that the halos you see in traditional religious art are actually auras. For this article, we accept the reality of auras as fact.

People with strong positive auras are naturally charismatic and attract others to them. They tend to be more successful in getting things done and getting support from other people. People with negative auras tend to be self-promoters that drive others away from them, and those with strong negative auras may be evil. It is possible that negative auras can become parasitic and literally steal energy from positive auras.
It is important to remember that the aura has little power of its own. It derives from a person's internal condition - physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual. It is the tool by which psychic healers judge a person's overall health and well-being. To have a strong positive aura means you have a strong healthy body, well-balanced psychological and emotional health, and a spiritual maturity and strength. A weak or negative aura indicates physical illness or disease, conflicted emotions, unresolved psychological issues, and/or limited spiritual development. Therefore, when you strengthen your aura, you are actually making progress in becoming a healthier, more well-balanced person with a stronger spiritual base.
Negative people can and do influence positive people. Psychics can actually see this in the interaction of auras where the negative person's aura seems to drain the positive person's aura of its energy and light. The positive person will feel it when it happens - they may feel more tired or weaker, their mood may lose some sparkle, or they may get a feeling of uneasiness or anxiety.

On the other hand, positive people can influence negative people as well. Their energy and vitality can literally flow into a person with a negative or weak aura. Psychic healers do this. They send, through their aura, positive energy to the negative person. And the stronger the positive person, the stronger their aura, the less likely they will be to let a negative person steal their energy.
No one wants to be around a person who is constantly pessimistic and depressed. That's because the negativity is contagious. They negative person literally drains more positive people. But the stronger you are, the healthier and happier you are, the less vulnerable you will be to negative influences.
What causes negative auras?
People with negative auras are frequently seriously ill, whether it is due to a physical, mental, or spiritual disease. Drinking, smoking, and taking drugs can weaken your aura. Stress, conflict, and violence can, too. Too little exercise, mental stimulation, positive social interaction, or spiritual connection can produce a dark weak aura. And engaging in immoral activities can be disastrous - crime, deviant behaviors, and misuse of your fellow man can produce an aura as dark and thick as night. Negative auras can be extremely powerful, reflecting the inner turmoil that creates them, and they can influence the people around them in very serious ways.
Some people believe that negative energy isn't always associated with a living human being. Restless spirits of people who passed away before they were able to resolve conflicts are one example of a negative entity that can still influence the living. And just as there are positive spirits, like angels, there are negative ones. No one can prove or disprove their existence, but many people have experienced the powerful effects of having negative entities influencing their lives.

How can I protect myself from negative energy and auras?
People with positive auras, on the other hand, are better able to withstand negative influences. Their good health is a strong protective barrier, and they less susceptible to drains on their energy and vitality. If you want to have a stronger, more positive aura, you need to become a stronger, more positive person.
There are also techniques we can use to protect ourselves from negative energies and entities and maintain a healthy aura. All of these techniques serve to help become more powerful in our psychic abilities and more sensitive to external influences that might harm us.

An important first step is to learn to use and trust your intuition. For example, have you ever been involved in a conversation with someone and felt a knot form in your stomach? This knot was telling you that this person is negative and may be draining your energy. Relying on those internal messages more may be one way to protect your positive energy and aura. However, many people have trouble distinguishing intuitive knowledge from emotional reaction. When you begin to develop your intuitive skills, you must take care that you're not letting your feelings about a situation masquerade as intuition. There is no school or class for telling the difference. The best way to learn is through trial and error, being willing to make mistakes, and through self-knowledge.

Looking into your motivations is important. Perhaps you got that knot in your stomach because you wanted
to punch the person in the mouth. That is not intuition. It is emotion. You are the only person who can interpret these signs, and self-knowledge is an important tool in differentiating intuition from irrational emotions.
Another way to become stronger and healthier, and to have a strong positive aura, is to avoid things that weaken or harm you. Avoid junk food, alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. They weaken your defenses and personal resolve. They cloud intuition and increase emotions. Counter-balancing the avoidance of negative things is incorporating more healthy things into your daily routine - exercise, nutritious foods, positive social experiences, prayer and meditation.

Meditative activities strengthen you and your aura. Listening to soothing music or reading an inspirational or uplifting book helps clear your mind and body of negative influences and builds your resistance to them. Meditation helps you tune out externalities and tune in to your own strengths and wisdom. Meditation is a very important and rewarding tool for becoming healthier and having a stronger, more positive aura.
You can also use some objects that may have a healing or protective effect. Amulets are thought to fend off negative spirits. They come in many shapes, forms, and sizes and are made of a variety of materials. Used since time began by native and primitive peoples, they can be worn as jewelry or carried in a pocket or purse. Some people use specific stones as amulets. Popular stones for this purpose include onyx, hematite, double-terminated quartz, and aragonite. They are also called protection stones.

If you feel that you are being attacked and someone or something is trying to drain your energy, you might try taking a physical position to block it. The point is to protect yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually at the same time. Take a position that blocks out external influences by crossing your arms in front of your chest, cross your legs. Make all your fingers on your left hand touch the fingers on your right hand. Close your eyes, clear your mind, and take long slow even breaths until you begin to feel comfortable and protected.
Closing yourself off in this way will not only protect you from negative influences, it will stop your energy from reaching other people. It's a way to take a psychic break and allow you to refresh and strengthen your own body and spirit. Your aura will, in turn, become stronger, more light, and more resistant to negative influences.

'Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about CREATING YOURSELF'.

A few years ago when I was down in the dumps, feeling rather lost, frustrated, confused about where I was going and what to do - a received a lovely gift. It was a mug - but not just any old mug. It had some writing on it which said:

'Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about CREATING YOURSELF'.
Unfortunately it did not say who this delightful quote is from. If you happen to know - do add a comment...
I used to talk to friends and colleagues who may mention 'finding yourself' or your 'inner self' or how it's great to spend time to 'discover yourself'. People to go to meditation retreats, take gap years to find themselves, grow, learn and so on. This is all fine and dandy - but really once you've 'found' yourself then what? Let's get on board here - let's make things happen! Spending time to get to know yourself, what you are like - what you enjoy, value, are good at and passionate about is all hugely valuable - don't get me wrong. It's a key emphasis on what we do here - however it forms only 1 part of the equation. In order to get where you want to be we need to take control. Create yourself! Decide what is important to you - how you want to be, how you want to live - and create that world! If you don't want to do it alone find someone to help you - a friend, a mentor, or professional advisor.

Nowadays - whenever I feel confused with life or work, when I'm unsure or unclear about myself - I look at this mug and remember that - I'm in charge. I'm in control. It's up to me to go out there and choose exactly how I want my life and career to be. The focus is not on this soul-searching, 'finding myself', 'discovering the inner me' - in order to move from A to B - it's about creating who I am and who I am going to be. Now it's your turn - go ahead - create yourself...

Are You "Fear Fit"

Being 'fear fit' is all about:
  • identifying if the fear we are feeling is one that will help us, or if its a fear that will harm us, and
  • expanding our comfort zone so that we become increasingly more comfortable with feeling our fear and reacting accordingly.
Basically, fear can either protect us from getting hurt by preventing us from doing things we probably shouldn't be doing (the 'fight or flight' mechanism), or fear can show us what is really important to us and become an indicator that guides us along our right path.

Unfortunately, most of us tend to identify all of our fears as the 'fight or flight' type and miss out on the opportunity of letting fear help us figure out what is really important to us. After all, if what we were doing or thinking about doing wasn't important to us, we wouldn't care if we did it or not and we wouldn't feel fear when we thought about it or tried to move towards it.

How Can You Tell if You are Feeling a Good Fear

A good fear is one that is trying to help you, or a protective fear, one that is trying to prevent you from hurting yourself??

An effective technique is to recognize when you are feeling fearful and to identify what you are thinking about or doing that evoked the fear response.

Take, for example, a situation where you are thinking about making a major lifestyle change. You want to incorporate into your life something you have been dreaming about doing for a long time, like becoming self-employed or becoming a professional Travel Writer.
If every time you begin to think about opening your own business or being a Travel Writer you begin to feel fearful, then you should analyze that fear. Ask your self if the fear is identifying something that is important to you, or is the fear trying to protect you from hurting yourself?
If you believe the fear is trying to protect you from hurting yourself, then make a list of everything you can think of that might hurt you if you made this change. Go through the list and identify any fear that is related to a situation that you can develop a coping strategy for. The coping strategy could be anything that either reduced the impact of the situation, changed the way you felt about the situation, or eliminated the situation all together.

Coping Strategies Can Help Overcome Fear
If you can identify coping strategies for most or all of the fears you identified, then the original fear you felt was very likely to have been a good fear. This is the kind of fear that identifies things that are important to you and lets you know you are on your right path. I did this exercise recently and was quite surprised by the results. Of course, these weren't my fears that I was analyzing, which made the exercise a whole lot easier to do. A few years ago a Location Independent/Digital Nomad Survey was run online to an audience that was (94 individuals who were living a location independent lifestyle, and 174 aspiring location independents). The location independent lifestyle is a lifestyle design that combines extensive travel with a career or self-employment, something that requires a fairly high fear threshold. One of the questions asked participants to identify fears that they had regarding either living this lifestyle, or planning to live this lifestyle.
either living the location independent lifestyle, or was extremely interested in creating an independent lifestyle. The author's of the study identified 268 people responding to the study

A total of 86 unique fears were shared by the 268 participants.

Several of the fears were shared by dozens of the respondents. In looking at each fear I asked myself if I could develop a coping strategy for that fear, or if this was a 'protective' fear that identified a situation that would be totally beyond my control and therefore something I could not develop a coping strategy for and should be afraid of. Over 90% of the identified fears were fears that a coping mechanism could be identified for, with less than 10% being the 'protective' kind of fear - fears that identified situations that were outside of the individual's control. What I found most interesting was that 80% of the 'protective fears' were identified by people who were already living a location independent lifestyle (these included fears of plane crashes, border control problems, not getting home in time if a loved one died, those kinds of fears).
Using the idea of being 'fear fit', it seems that the aspiring Location Independent/Digital Nomads that participated in the survey were experiencing the 'good fear' - the kind of fear that indicates that they have found a lifestyle choice that is important to them.

So the first half of being 'fear fit' is to identify and analyze your fears in order for you to determine which fears are acting like a 'fear radar' and are showing you what is important to you, and which fears are the 'fight or flight' type of fears that are protecting you from harm.

The second half of being 'fear fit' is to learn how to find the courage to expand your comfort zone so that you can stop letting your fears prevent you from doing things that are important to you.
One very effective technique for overcoming this type of fear is to find small, safe challenges in your life and do at least one of these challenges every day. Challenges could be as simple as finding a new route to work or home from work; shopping in a store that you have never shopped in before; rearrange the furniture in one room of your home; try eating in a new restaurant; try having breakfast for dinner.
Basically anything that takes you outside of your normal routine, that challenges your habits can expand your comfort zone and help inoculate yourself to small amounts of fear.
As you become comfortable with your newly expanded comfort zone, challenge yourself again. The key is to expand your comfort zone in small, easy steps. Before long you will find that both your fear tolerance level and your comfort zone have expanded nicely.

Consistency Your Key to Achieving What really Matters to You.........

One of the most important disciplines to develop and maintain is the discipline of consistent action. Many people start out on projects or goals with all kinds of good intentions. They may be all pumped about their goal. For the first few days or weeks they faithfully make progress on their goal. Then they begin to slip. A day here and there turns into a week of missed opportunity and the weeks turn into months. They find themselves now months beyond their starting point with little to show for it.
Nearly all significant goals take a lot of work. There is no getting around this. Beware of get rich quick schemes or any promised short cut that promises instant success. Success is rarely ever instant, it is rarely ever quick.

The Law of the Farm
A good model for success in this respect is the farm. Farmers cannot afford to get all excited, work steadily for a few days or weeks and then let it all go. If they do they wont be farming very long. Farmers prepare their ground, plant their crops, tend their crops, weed and feed their crops, water their crops, and they do this day in and day out for months until the crops are ready to harvest. Farmers understand that if they neglect their crops for even a little while the weeds and the drought will take them away.
Farmers also know they must watch their crops at the end of the season very closely to harvest them at just the right time, quickly, so that they get them at the exact perfect point of ripeness which then gives them the
best return on their investment.

Successful farmers follow this consistent action plan month after month, season after season and year after year. Some call this the Law of the Farm. This discipline of consistent action is a natural and necessary part of farming. As most of us have left farms and moved into cities we have lost this discipline.
The fact is however that this same discipline of consistent action that makes farmers successful will make almost anyone successful at their endeavors.

Start Small
If this idea of consistent action is new to you or you are not accustomed to it, start with a small goal or project. Plan it out so you know what you must do each day and each week to maintain your momentum and work toward achieving your ultimate success. As the days and weeks pass you will see yourself moving closer to success. The secret here is to keep up the discipline. Do not slack off because things are going well at the moment. If you slack off the weeds will get you.

Once you have mastered this discipline for a small project or goal you are ready to apply it to your larger goals. You will have seen it work and understand at a deeper level how well it pays off. That understanding will help reinforce the discipline and keep you moving in the right direction.
It does not matter whether you are trying to lose weight, win a marathon, build a business, pay off your debts, or any other goal you may have. Steady discipline and continuous action taken every day and every week will get you there if you maintain the effort.

Successful people leave clues. If we observe what they do and copy it we too can succeed. Consistent action as a discipline is one of those clues that successful people leave and that you can learn and apply.
Sit down with a blank piece of paper today, do not put it off, and remember action every day. Write down your goal. Write down your daily and weekly steps to achieve that goal. Put reminders on your calendar or planner. Do it. Like the successful farmer you will reap the rewards in the final harvest.

The ‘If’ Word Is All You Need To Succeed

The biggest little word in the English language is the word if. There are three ifs that directly affect your future success. Yet most people focus on the wrong ifs and are less successful because of it.
The strategies of success you use have a focus. Do you focus on the If's of the past or the If's of the future? Your focus determines your ultimate success. Understanding the three future ifs will unveil the mysterious process whereby the mega successful build future success and prepare you for a brighter tomorrow.

Many people focus on past ifs associated with regrets over mistakes or missed opportunities. These can be called If only's. If only... then I would have; If only I could have..., If only... I should have... Overly focusing on the past will not build future success. Don't let your past chain you to an unsuccessful future.
Instead focus on the three ifs that will build future success. Realize as Rodolph Steiner did that life is a journey not a destination. Man is not a being who stands still, he is a being in the process of becoming. The more he enables himself to become, the more he fulfills his true mission.

No matter what your dreams and goals they are inevitably driven by ambition, drive and determination. These are the uniquely human energies, feelings and emotions that prime your efforts and shape your achievements and directions. The mysterious process whereby great men and women emerge, often from obscurity, to the pinnacles of success need not be so mysterious. Do achievers make history, or does history make achievers? The answer is yes! Both have a degree of influence in a person's ultimate success.
It is always a combination of both internal strategies of success and external factors that determine the ultimate height to which people are able to build future success.

However, without the internal factors working effectively, external factors and opportunities are often underutilized or not even recognized at all. Causing many people to fail to act in time to take advantage of passing opportunities. Fear, uncertainty, lack of preparation or lack of determination, will and drive can all allow opportunities to quietly slip away-unnoticed or underutilized. The biggest little word in the English language is the word if. Ask yourself if you have done everything possible to maximize your internal strategies of success in order to take advantage of external opportunities that will come your way.

What are the three mysterious future ifs that will ultimately determine your destiny?
• If you have the talent and the training. Work now to maximize your talents and abilities so you will be ready when opportunity knocks.
• If you are in the right place at the right time and are able to see and seize the fickle finger of fate before it vanishes. You must be able to spot and seize the opportunities needed to build the success you desire. It you can't find the opportunities then create them. The harder you work the more likely fate will swing your way.
• If you have the inner drive, ambition and determination to succeed. You need to find the spark that lights your fire. External goals and circumstances can be a spark but the fire must come from within.
Those that can tap into and utilize all three future ifs, constantly over time, will not only maximize their success now but will be more likely to continue to hold on to success in the future. This strategy of success allows you to build one success on top of another.

Utilizing these three ifs is how many great achievers spring from obscurity. And often their obscure background is what galvanizes their ambition and determination to succeed. Today, success often rises and falls at the speed of light.

Mass media can flashes images of individuals around the world bringing instant international notoriety and fame, or sometimes infamy and shame.
